Parent Organizations

All Cardinal Newman parents are considered members of the Parent Association—a welcoming network of families committed to supporting our school community. Rather than holding formal meetings or electing officers, the Parent Association thrives through the generous time, talent, and energy of parents who assist with school events, special projects, and community-building efforts throughout the year.

Parents may be invited to serve as event chairs or lend a hand on committees, working alongside fellow parents, students, faculty, alumni, and local partners. Together, we aim to foster a spirit of camaraderie and service rooted in Christian values of charity, respect, and shared purpose. Whether helping behind the scenes or leading a project, there’s a place for everyone to get involved and make a meaningful impact.

Some of the events that the Parent Association supports are:

• Back to School Night
• Father / Son BBQ
• Alumni Homecoming Huddle
• Admissions Open House
• Faculty/Staff Thanksgiving Luncheon
• Father/Daughter Dinner Dance
• Mother/Son Mass & Brunch
• Mother/Daughter Brunch
• Christian Based Service Learning
• Senior Awards

The Parent Association offers a great way to meet others and be part of our vibrant community. Volunteer opportunities are plentiful—jump in and make a difference.

The Newman Moms Club is its own 501(c)(3) organization with a mission:

Newman Moms Club is a women's social group with a focus on building relationships across all of our communities. Members include current CN moms, future CN moms, alumni, friends, and family. Monthly food and wine events are hosted at various venues. Proceeds from these gatherings benefit the CN community, strengthening our bond and enhancing the experiences of our students and families. It was established as a social group that gathers monthly at parent homes or local businesses to host dinner for moms, grandmas, alum moms, and friends who would like to share an evening of good food and libations.

Newman Moms' Prayer Group is a ministry designed to encourage Cardinal Newman moms to pray for their children, teachers, school, and community. Cardinal Newman has a moms' prayer group and we invite you to join us!

Please use this form to provide us with private or personal prayer intentions and we will include these in our weekly prayers.

Interested in joining us?  Contact info@cardinalnewman.org.

"Prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy." - St. Therese of Lisieux

The Cardinal Newman Alumni Association is made up of alumni from both Cardinal Newman and Ursuline High School who wish to give time and support back to their alma mater. The Alumni Association has established the Alumni Legacy Scholarship Fund, providing tuition assistance to children or grandchildren of Cardinal Newman alumni or Ursuline alumnae, giving them the chance at a Cardinal Newman education. While contributing to tuition assistance through the alumni scholarships, the Alumni Association also attends and volunteers at many school-related events, including Cardinal Newman's Homecoming,  Legacy Gala, Alumni Golf Tournament, and many more events benefiting CNHS.

The Ursuline High School Alumnae Association is its own 501 (c) (3) organization that was established with the closure of the High School in 2011.

Their mission: “Our primary goal is to provide educational scholarships for children of alumnae of Ursuline High School located in Santa Rosa, California who are attending Cardinal Newman High School, a co-educational Catholic school also located in Santa Rosa, California.”

They host an annual Crab Feed to fund their Ursuline Alumnae Association Scholarship for students of Ursuline graduates.

This committee of parent volunteers helps promote, communicate, and support the needs of all of the art forms at Cardinal Newman, including dance, digital media, graphic design, MAKER Workshop, music, studio art, and theater art. Working with the CN Visual and Performing Arts Director and Faculty, committee members assist with coordinating volunteers to support various arts-related events, including art performances, events, and exhibits.

Grad Night is a special celebration for our seniors, organized by Operation Graduation, Inc., an independent parent-led organization. Our dedicated Grad Night committee, together with Cardinal Newman parent volunteers, work year-round to make this event a tremendous success. Through their own fundraising and community support, Operation Graduation helps offset costs so every senior can enjoy a safe, memorable Grad Night experience. While Cardinal Newman works in tandem with Operation Graduation to support and promote the evening, any funds collected should be directed through the Operation Graduation 50c3.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide graduating seniors with a safe, fun, and sober celebration, ensuring they create lasting memories in a responsible and supportive environment
