About the Campaign

The Cardinal Newman campus and community were forever changed on the evening of October 8, 2017, when the Tubbs Fire swept through the school campus, scorching and demolishing over a third of the campus.

It was clear that in order to begin rebuilding, a major Capital Campaign was needed, and quickly. Master site planning meetings were conducted and plans were discussed and designed for a new campus. Partners in Mission, a campaign consulting firm out of Boston, was contracted in the summer of 2018 to help run a Feasibility Study for the rebuild of the campus. Results of this study were presented to the administration during the Fall of 2018, with results identifying the construction of a new two-story classroom building and the replacement of the grass at the stadium with all-weather turf as the top two priorities for our community. Following a close second was the construction of a Student Union which would house a new library, media center, study rooms, classroom space, indoor/outdoor eating areas and would serve the needs of our students.

Cardinal Newman High School has launched A Call To Lead capital campaign for the campus rebuild projects following the October 2017 Sonoma County Wildfires.
