Art of Nature Journaling & DrawingDates: June 9-13, 2025
Times: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-12:00 pm 
Ages: Rising 6th-8th Graders

In this hands-on program, students will learn techniques for engaging with the natural world through various artistic practices. Through observation, they will challenge themselves to explore nature more deeply and create an art journal that integrates scientific principles with personal reflection. Students will also develop a deeper understanding of California's coastal ecosystems.

Materials Needed: 

• Sunglasses or hat for being outside (optional)
• Art kit: Multimedia Sketchbook, pencil kit, watercolors kit

In this summer art program, students will be inspired by observing nature and moments from art history to approach a variety of art projects and methods.  Students will create charcoal pieces inspired by the earliest charcoal cave drawings in Europe, collages inspired by the Dada art movement, engage with naturalist fieldwork methods to record various plants and natural materials outside, practice linear perspective methods and plein air painting on the CN campus, and explore pictographic written language including Maya script.

Beginner Jazz and Hip Hop DanceDates: June 23-27, 2025
Times: Monday-Friday, 1:00-3:00 pm 
Ages: Rising 6th-8th Graders
Cost: $350

No experience needed! Learn to move with confidence as you connect to the rhythm and beats of the music. Build new friendships, boost your skills, and most importantly—have fun!  Each day will include one hour of hip hop, and one hour of jazz.

Materials Needed:

• Comfortable Athletic or Dance wear (for example: leggings and T-shirt)
• Footwear:
  • Jazz - soft lyrical/jazz shoe (or barefoot).  Jazz shoes optional.
  • Hip Hop - Comfortable sneakers from home

Join us for a week-long Dungeons & Dragons bootcamp, where you'll embark on thrilling campaigns (levels 1-5) and experiment with diverse hero builds. Between game sessions, take on challenges, puzzles, mini-adventures, crafts, and even Dungeon Master classes to sharpen your skills.

Whether you're a new adventurer or a seasoned hero, there's a place for you at our table. So grab your dice, sharpen your wits, and get ready for the journey of a lifetime!
