Sister (Mother) Teresa Christe MSSR was born and raised in Torrance, California the 6th of 10 children. She has been a consecrated religious sister since 1984 and is now a founding member of the Marian Sisters of Santa Rosa, a new religious community erected by Bishop Robert Vasa in 2012. The Marian Sisters are devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and committed to the mission of Jesus Christ in the Santa Rosa Diocese through the works of joyful evangelization with a distinct emphasis on education and parish ministry. Mother Teresa teaches Advanced Theology 9 and Campus Ministry 10 at Cardinal Newman High School and serves as Reverend Mother and Vocations Director for her religious community. Mother Teresa Christe completed her studies in K-12 Education, History (Catholic Studies), and Communications at St. Michael’s Institute and Gonzaga University, both in Spokane, Washington. For the past 30 years, Sister Teresa has taught theology, history, and language arts at the middle and high school levels. She has served in retreat ministry, and conducted Catholic catechetical programs throughout the United States for both adults and youth.
