$1,410,580 in Tuition Assistance for the 23-24 School Year

Cardinal Newman High School awarded $1,410,580 in financial aid for the 2023-24 school year. The amount of aid each year fluctuates with total enrollment numbers, adapting to meet the needs of our community.  We understand and appreciate the sacrifices and prioritization families make to ensure their children receive a quality, Catholic education. It fuels our passion and motivation to honor these families by meeting their children's needs. Creating a warm, caring environment grounded in the Catholic faith provides a unique learning environment where the whole student can develop.

The financial aid we award each year is made possible by this spirit of support and giving back so that the next generation can succeed and thrive. We thank everyone in the community for their support of our mission, support our students, and actively shape future generations.

88 percent of the cost to educate is covered by tuition

Tuition at any privately-funded school can be a significant investment for families. It requires prioritization, commitment, and often, financial sacrifice. At Cardinal Newman, we strive to keep tuition as low as possible to make our school available to as many families as we can.

We do this by being conservative fiscal stewards of all funds received, by setting tuition rates at 88% of the actual cost. The gap between the cost to educate and our tuition rate is bridged through the help of a generous community committed to the spirit of supporting our mission. Private education often comes with a price tag, but we believe it will always be worth the investment, particularly when it comes to securing scholarships for college.

The art and science of being human, rooted and developed through the Catholic faith, create the unique student experience that is Cardinal Newman High School. Our graduates transition into adulthood as part of a larger family of alumni that is forever expanding.

Thirty percent of students receive Tuition Assistance

Part of our mission at Cardinal Newman is to ensure a quality Catholic education to available for all families. Each year, our Board of Trustees approves an operating budget that sets tuition rates below the actual cost of educating our students. This is done to make our school as affordable as possible. In the current school year, $1,410,580 of tuition assistance was awarded. Tuition assistance and the deficit from tuition and actual costs are funded by generous gifts and pledges from the Cardinal Newman community. It is with enormous gratitude that we thank our donors and benefactors for supporting our mission to provide a Catholic education for our students. A Cardinal Newman education is the Christian spirit of giving and supporting in action.

A few good "signs"

As the campus of Cardinal Newman is redeveloped, a few important "signs" of progress have been achieved. The original Cardinal Newman High School sign, which survived the fire, has been reinstalled. Additionally, the Baldocchi Scholarship memorial, heavily damaged by the fire, has been restored and reinstalled. Landscaping around both structures continue, but faculty, staff, alumni, and students have all noticed and appreciated the return of these iconic landmarks. Our many blessings continue.
