CHP Officer David DeRutte, '03 CHP officer David DeRutte, '03, currently serves as the Public Information Officer for the California Highway Patrol (CHP). His servcie has spanned the last 14 years. He can be heard on KZST radio in the morning or afternoon, with traffic updates. DeRutte also runs programs, like Start Smart for new drivers, and visits schools to help students, including CN. Married with two children and a resident in Windsor, DeRutte also has qualified as a pilot and is pursuing the CHP Air Operations. Safety and service guides him. |
The Bilbro Brothers: A history of wine and family: The legacy of Chris Bilbro, founder of Marietta Cellars, can be found in his sons Jake, '95, Scott, '98, and Sam, '01. The brothers are deeply involved in the Sonoma County wine world. Jake and Scott took over Marietta from their father in 2014; Jake is also the owner of Limerick Lane winery. Sam's work with Northern Italian grape varieties, are at the heart of his winery, Idlewild Wines. As an extension of that, he launched Ciao Bruto!, a new Italian wine and specialty food shop in Healdsburg, by the winery tasting room. |
Dr. Mark Shapiro, '94 Dr. Mark Shapiro, '94, was featured on September 3rd in the Press Democrat, following a visit to the White House West Wing for a roundtable or doctors and health care professionals on the topics of health care, health equity, and civic engagement. He has worked to encourage health workers to register to vote and cast a ballot since learning that many do not participate. He also engages in social media, something that was discouraged when he became a physician. Now his podcast, begun in 2015, "Explore the Space" is popular and he has 25,700 followers on Twitter, promoting discussion and idea exchange. Will Seppi, '93 Will Seppi, '93, CEO of Costeaux Bakery, which was named one of the North Bay's Best Places to Work by the NB Business Journal, in the 101 to 250 employee category. This is the 11th time they have been recognized under Will's leadership, who knows recognizing and supporting employees is key to their success. Besides the original Healdsburg site, since 1923, they now have locations in Santa Rosa, Petaluma, and the Sonoma County Airport. Some of the best bread and desserts in the county, from an Alum who consistently supports our school. |
Steven Zichichi, '18 - A Year of Service in Guayaquil, Ecuador Steven Zichichi, '18, after graduating from Westmont College in Santa Barbara this past spring, is embarking on a year of service in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He won't have cell service or regular email, but will be keeping journals of his work there. The non-profit organization which he is working for, Rostro de Cristo, will send a few updates throughout the year explaining a little about what he is doing while in Ecuador. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers during this dedicated time of service. |

This marks a milestone as the largest incoming classes of all times! Applications for the 2023-2024 school year are now being accepted.
