Style Guide
The CNHS style guide was created to assist our faculty, staff, parents, students, and other community members when designing clothing, banners, announcements, or similar projects.
All merchandise using Cardinal Newman name, logos, and marks must be approved by the school President. If you need support with your project or obtaining approval, please contact Sierra Antonio, Director of Marketing and Communication: marketing@cardinalnewman.org
CNHS School Colors
CNHS school colors consist of Cardinal Red and Gold, complimented by grey, black, and white. Cardinal Red symbolizes the Blood of Christ. Cardinal Gold symbolizes the Chalice of the Eucharist.
Our colors are defined by specific formulas to ensure consistent use. Please see the chart below for color matching codes. Not sure which code you need for your project? Contact marketing@cardinalnewman.org for support.
Typography
Cardinal Newman uses four type families – Proxima Nova is our primary font. Arial is a suitable alternative when Proxima Nova is unavailable. Our supporting font family is Adobe Garamond. Athletics uses a fourth approved font for team and fan wearables, University Regular. This is a common slab or block serif font.
CNHS does not own the rights to these fonts, and cannot make them available for public download. Please contact our marketing department, or download from a trusted site.
CNHS Apparel and Athletic Wear
Apparel
Typically, student apparel such as uniforms use the abbreviated CN Logo and school colors to the closest possible match. Regular Cardinal Newman student wear is available through DK Embroidery. For more information about CN apparel, please visit The Bird Cage.

Athletic Wearables
To ensure a uniform and consistent look across all athletic teams, the athletic department has a defined set of elements including the Cardinal Newman, name of the sport, and use of the Mascot graphic. Please check with athletics@cardinalnewman.org before ordering or creating wearables.
