Student Leadership Opportunities
Cardinal Newman High School students are presented with a variety of ways to get involved with their high school in a leadership capacity. Whether you are a naturally-born leader or someone wishing to find your hidden leadership skills, there are opportunities available to you!
The Safe School Ambassadors Program enables students to provide leadership in setting the emotional climate on the Cardinal Newman campus, one that relies on social norms change and the power of students to help stop bullying and violence. Student bystanders see, hear, and know things adults don't, can intervene in ways adults can't and are often on the scene of an incident before an adult. They are a critical and under-utilized resource for positively impacting the crisis of bullying in our schools.
The Safe School Ambassadors program trains, engages, and mobilizes these bystanders to help keep the school environment a safe one.

Link Crew is a team of upperclassmen responsible for welcoming, guiding and mentoring freshmen through their first year at Cardinal Newman High School. Leaders learn skills such as peer support, group facilitation, and how to grow as positive role models. This is a wonderful way for students to show their CN pride to younger students and prospective families . . . AND Link Crew is a ton of fun!
