Cardinal Newman High School’s mission is to provide an excellent Catholic college preparatory education to all qualified students. We believe that we can attract and support a broader population of students by providing tuition assistance to those families who would not otherwise be able to choose a Cardinal Newman education.
Important Dates for Tuition Assistance Applicants
Due to the great demand for tuition assistance and the limited amount of funds available, we strongly encourage you to complete the application process as soon as possible.
Application available: November 1, 2022
Application deadline: December 15, 2022
Award notices communicated: March 1, 2023
Keep in mind - Many families who send their students to Cardinal Newman High School make financial sacrifices which include adjusting spending priorities and maximizing both parents’ earnings. Tuition assistance is designed to help those families who even with their sacrifices are unable to meet the financial obligation. Due to the significant number of applications for tuition assistance Cardinal Newman receives, we strictly follow the guidelines below to promote a fair and equitable distribution of tuition assistance to those who qualify and meet our deadlines. All funds will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. The amount of tuition assistance awarded may change from year to year based on your financial profile, your child’s academic standing, and the availability of funds. Please know that all tuition assistance information is kept strictly confidential.
Criteria for Tuition Assistance Awards
• A designated and determined financial need
• Parents’ timely payment of tuition, fees, and ability to meet all contractual obligations for current school year.
• Timely completion of the financial aid application requirements.
• Students must maintain a minimum semester GPA of 2.0 and must not have a grade lower than a D.
• Students must show consistent progress in attendance and citizenship.
