COVID-19 Health & Safety
Dear Cardinal Newman High School Community,
We recognize that there is apprehension and anxiety around COVID-19 (the disease caused by Coronavirus). In these frustrating and uncertain times, we appreciate the understanding our school community is bringing to these conversations and decisions. The health and safety of our students, families, and staff is always our primary concern, and we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation.
We feel it is important to communicate directly with you about COVID-19, and the steps we are taking as a Cardinal Newman High School community to ensure best health and safety practices are followed. The webpage will serve to house all information and communications about process, procedures, event updates, and contingencies.
We remain in regular contact with the Diocese of Santa Rosa and the Catholic Schools Department, the Sonoma County Office of Education, and the Sonoma County Public Health Department for information, guidance and direction.
There is no doubt that we have yet to fully understand COVID-19. We will continue sending regular updates outlining plans. Thank you for your partnership in the unknowns these times bring. Let us continue to keep all those affected by COVID-19 in our thoughts and prayers.
The California Catholic Conference, which includes the 12 Catholic School Superintendents of California celebrate the accomplishments of their schools during this time of emergency campus closures - and in doing so, they have created this video announcement.
