Most Commonly Asked Questions...

Can non-Catholic students attend CN?
Yes, non-Catholic students attend CN. Approximately two thirds of the current student body comes from a Catholic background. Students at CN are required to participate in school religious services and theology classes regardless of creed. The school’s theology department challenges students to discover why they believe what they believe. The entire CN community is guided by Catholic ethics and care. Cardinal Newman does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, or ethnic origin in its admissions policy.

Does CN provide transportation for students?
Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from school. Carpooling is very prevalent amongst the parents at CN and a carpool list is sent out before the school year begins each year.  Sonoma County Transit services a bus stop by the CN Gym. Schedules are available in the main office.  CN takes responsibility for transportation to most school activities (sports, field trips, etc.), unless students are allowed to meet at the site.

Ms. Bev Fuller, Mrs. Mary Euphrat and Mr. Tony Greco are our full-time college counselors. Starting sophomore year, meetings are held yearly with a counselor, student and parent(s) to assure the student is on target to meet academic goals. Mrs. Euphrat. Ms. Fuller and/or Mr. Greco are in contact with students during their junior and senior years.
